- Wash the oranges thoroughly. Peel them, trying to keep the peels in large pieces.
- Place the peels in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil. Cook forĀ 8 minutesĀ to reduce the bitterness.
- Drain the peels and immediately cool them in cold water.
- Cut the peels intoĀ thin stripsĀ .
- Place the peels in a saucepan withĀ water, orange juice and sugarĀ .
