Throughout history, humankind has been fascinated by those who claim to see the future. Among them, one of the most mysterious and talked-about figures is Baba Vanga , the blind Bulgarian seer known as the “Nostradamus of the Balkans.” Born in 1911, she lost her sight in her youth due to a storm and began claiming to “see beyond the visible.” Her predictions range from natural disasters to scientific discoveries, and many of them—according to her followers—have come true with surprising accuracy.
Although he died in 1996, new interpretations of his visions resurface every year, and those attributed to him for 2026 are particularly unsettling. Beyond belief or doubt, his prophecies invite us to reflect on the direction the world is taking: technological advances, international tensions, and environmental imbalances seem to be shaping scenarios that decades ago belonged only to science fiction.
