Ingredients You’ll Need

For the Steak:
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin , thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (for marinating)
- 1 tsp black pepper (adjust to taste)
For the Sauce:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (slurry for thickening)
For Stir-Frying:
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion , sliced into thin strips
- 2 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 red bell pepper (optional, for color and crunch)
- Cooked white or brown rice , for serving
