The most frequent reason for a wrist lump is a Ganglion Cyst.
Typical signs:
- Round or oval lump near a joint or tendon
- May change size over time
- Usually painless (but can sometimes press on nerves)
These cysts are benign and not cancerous, and sometimes disappear on their own.
🟡 2️⃣ Lipoma
Another possible cause is a Lipoma.
Features:
- Soft and movable under the skin
- Slow-growing
- Usually painless
Lipomas are generally harmless but can be removed if they cause discomfort.
🔴 3️⃣ Tendon or Joint Problems
Inflammation around tendons can sometimes create swelling or lumps, such as in Tenosynovitis.
This may come with:
- Pain during movement
- Stiffness
- Swelling around the wrist.
