What can be done to consume minced beef safely?

  • Cook the meat properly  : minced beef should be thoroughly cooked, with no pink parts, and an internal temperature of approximately  70°C .
  • Respect hygiene in the kitchen  : wash your hands before and after handling, thoroughly clean surfaces and utensils.
  • Properly store meat  : in the refrigerator (0–4 °C) and consume it quickly, or freeze it if necessary.

Why is minced beef more sensitive?

During the grinding process, bacteria present on the surface of the meat can become embedded  inside . This is why ground beef should always be thoroughly cooked before consumption, unlike some whole cuts of meat.

 Ground beef should never be washed before cooking.
The only safe way to consume it is to  cook it thoroughly  and follow proper kitchen hygiene practices.
