Instructions

Prepare the Dough

In a large bowl, combine the sugar and yeast. Add the lukewarm milk and let sit for 5–10 minutes, until foamy. Stir in the egg and vegetable oil. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise in a warm, draft-free place for 1 to 2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, and crushed walnuts until well combined.

Assemble the Rolls

Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle. Spread the filling evenly over the dough. Roll it up tightly and cut into 9 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for 20 minutes.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Prepare the Frosting

Beat the cream cheese, milk, and powdered sugar together until smooth. Once the rolls have cooled slightly, spread the frosting over the top.
