T-shirts and shirts that are too casual
Even though our dress habits have changed considerably, funerals remain an occasion where overly casual attire can quickly seem inappropriate. T-shirts with messages, logos, or graphic prints attract attention and detract from the moment of reflection.
Tank tops, sleeveless shirts, or overly casual pieces can sometimes give an impression of sloppiness, even unintentionally. It’s better to opt for a collared shirt, a simple blouse, or a well-tailored button-down. There’s no need to overdo it: a respectful and discreet outfit is based primarily on simplicity.
