What does urticaria really look like?

Urticaria manifests as red or pinkish, slightly raised welts, often surrounded by a lighter halo. Their size varies: sometimes as small as a €1 coin, sometimes larger and clustered together.
The most striking sign? Itching, sometimes mild, sometimes very intense.
Another peculiarity: each patch usually disappears in less than 24 hours, without leaving a trace, but others may appear elsewhere on the body.
In some cases, deeper swelling may affect the lips, eyelids, or hands. If breathing becomes difficult or the throat feels tight, seek immediate medical attention.
