White cement is used to create the structure.

  1. Place the cement in a container.
  2. Add water little by little until you get an intermediate texture (neither too liquid nor too thick).
  3. Incorporate the previously selected small fragments of glass.
  4. Mix well until the glass is evenly distributed.

This mixture will be responsible for the resistance and the characteristic shiny effect of the final result.

Mold preparation

Before placing the mixture, it is essential to prepare the mold.

Apply oil to the entire inside of the mold. This step will prevent the material from sticking and will allow you to remove the piece without damaging it once it’s dry.

Don’t overlook this detail: it directly influences the quality of the finish.

Assembly of the piece

  1. First place the larger glass fragments inside the mold, forming the visible layer.
  2. Then pour the cement mixture with small glass.
  3. Make sure the mixture fills all the spaces.
  4. Level the surface with a spoon or similar tool.

It is important to distribute everything evenly to achieve a clean and firm finish.

Drying

Let the piece rest for approximately 24 hours or until it is completely hardened.

This time is essential for the cement to solidify properly and for the object to gain strength.
