Instructions
- Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the melted butter into a 9×9-inch baking dish and set aside. - Make the Batter
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk until smooth.
Pour the batter evenly over the melted butter — do not stir. - Prepare the Berries
In a separate bowl, toss blackberries with lemon juice and the remaining 2 tablespoons sugar. - Assemble
Spoon the berries evenly over the batter. Again, do not stir — the cobbler forms its own crust while baking. - Bake
Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling around the edges. - Cool & Serve
Let cool slightly before serving.
